You can delete your BabyWear account and all data linked to it at any time: in the app, or without the app through our contact form. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. BabyWear is provided by Milena Marketing ltd., Alabin Street 33, 1000 Sofia, Bulgaria.
1. Delete your account in the app
This is the fastest way. You need to be signed in to your account.
If you have access to BabyWear:
- On the home screen, tap the gear icon at the top to open Settings.
- At the very bottom, under Privacy, tap Delete account.
- To confirm, type DELETE in the field and tap Delete account permanently.
- Finally, confirm with Delete permanently.
If BabyWear is locked (after the trial, or when your subscription has ended or could not be renewed): at the very bottom of the screen with the Premium plans or the lock notice, tap Delete account next to Sign out. Then continue with steps 3 and 4.
Your account is deleted right away, and your Premium access ends with it.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app or cannot access your device, we delete your account on request. Write to us through our contact form:
- Give the email address of your BabyWear account, ideally writing from that very address, and say that you want us to delete your account with all its data.
- If you signed in with Apple or Google, give the email address of that Apple or Google account. If you hid your email address when signing in with Apple, give the forwarding address your Apple account shows under “Sign in with Apple”.
We check that the request matches your account and, if needed, ask a short question by email. We then delete your account with all its data within 30 days and confirm the deletion by email.
3. What is deleted
When you delete your account, we remove from our systems:
- your account and sign-in data: email address, display name, user ID and the link to your sign-in with Apple or Google
- your children's profiles: name, date of birth, sex, warmth sensitivity and photos
- your places
- your settings: app language, time zone, temperature unit and reminder
- the device data for the weather change reminder: device token, time zone, language and rounded location
- your purchase data at our subscription service RevenueCat: purchase status and pseudonymous user ID
4. What is kept for a short time, and why
- Logs and backups: Technical logs, caches and backups are deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest. Until then, they may still contain your data.
- A deletion note: A technical note without your name, your email address or any details about your child stays for about two days, so that a device that is still signed in cannot store anything for the deleted account. Then it deletes itself.
- RevenueCat: If removing your purchase data at RevenueCat does not work right away, we automatically try again for up to 30 days.
- Purchases at Apple and Google: The App Store and Google Play handle the purchase itself. They keep their purchase records under their own privacy policies; we cannot delete them.
- Contact form requests: We delete your request once it has been fully answered and no statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Your subscription does not end with your account
The monthly subscription runs through the App Store or Google Play, not through your BabyWear account. Deleting the account does not end it, so it is best to cancel it before you delete your account:
- iPhone (App Store): Open the Settings app, tap your name, then “Subscriptions”, choose BabyWear and tap “Cancel Subscription”.
- Android (Google Play): Open the Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then “Payments & subscriptions” › “Subscriptions”, choose BabyWear and tap “Cancel subscription”.
A cancelled subscription runs until the end of the period you have already paid for. Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel.
6. Delete some data without deleting your account
You don't have to delete your whole account. In the app, you can also:
- Remove a child: On the home screen, tap the round button with your baby's picture at the top to open the Baby profile. Choose the child and tap Remove …’s profile at the very bottom. This works once you have added more than one child; the last profile stays until you delete your account.
- Remove the photo: In the Baby profile, tap the photo, then Remove photo.
- Remove a place: In Settings, tap Location to open your Places, then tap the ✕ on the place. We never save your current location as a place; you can turn off location access in your phone's settings.
- Turn off the reminder: In Settings, switch off Weather change. This also deletes the device data stored for the reminder.
- Stop analytics: In Settings, switch off Allow analytics. From then on, we no longer collect usage statistics.
How we process data otherwise is explained in our privacy policy.
